Frequent Questions

1. El Car Sharing

Car Sharing or a multi-user car is a way to have access to a car when needed without having to own it. A Car Sharing service works as a "shared ownership" car (actually an entire fleet) that its subscribers can use whenever they need it. In this way, the fixed costs related to the ownership of a car (insurance, purchase, taxes) are reduced, paying only for kilometres and hours of use that are identified in the specified rates.
The main difference is that Car Sharing users are people who, although they do not need a car on a daily basis, make more or less regular use of the service, while rental is aimed at more specific uses.

On the other hand, unlike car rental, with Car Sharing you can use the vehicle for a minimum period of one hour, it is not necessary to reserve it for the entire day. The user can reserve and collect the car at any time (24 hours, 7 days a week), pick it up from a convenient centrally located car park and return it to the same location at the end of its use. Car Sharing users pay a monthly fee and pay for the use of the car according to hours of use and kilometres travelled.
In Car Sharing, users share the use of a fleet of cars. The responsible company manages the fleet, assigns the car according to the reservations and invoices the services at the end of the month.

In Car Pooling, the owner of a vehicle makes seats available in the vehicle to share a certain route with other interested parties. Car Pooling does not need a management company, since the users agree among themselves.

2. Ibilkari

Access reliability is over 90%, with higher demand in the evenings and on weekends. If the desired Ibilkari located at the preferred location is already reserved, the reservation office or the website will provide you with alternative car with the same characteristics at another location.
The customer can reserve up to 15 minutes before pick-up. However, it is recommended that reservations be made a reasonable time in advance to ensure that there will be availability.
Fuel costs are included in the rate. There is a card in the glove compartment of the car that is used to pay for any costs of refuelling. In other words these fuel expenses are paid by Ibilkari. The only requirement for our users is to refill the tank when the tank is below a quarter of its content.
No. The only costs related to the use of Ibilkari are: a small monthly fee, the price per kilometre, and hours of use. Gas, insurance and taxes are included, as well as cleaning, repairs, tyre changes and other maintenance. Ibilkari users receive a monthly invoice containing all the trips made, their cost, time and mileage and therefore always know the exact cost of their mobility.
Modifications and cancellations of reservations will be made using the App, the booking system of the website or by calling the Customer Office on 689 514 885.
Yes you can.
In addition most Car Sharing companies negotiate special rates with car rental companies for customers who want to book cars for longer rental periods. This option may be offered by Ibilkari to avoid a shortage of cars for short term use.
Users must have a driving license of at least two years of entitlement to drive.
When you become a user, you will receive information on the procedure to follow to report any accidental damage. If you are involved in a major accident or in the event that someone is injured, the police must be informed immediately.

Ibilkari, for its part, will take the necessary measures and resolve the damages. All cars are fully insured. If the Ibilkari user is responsible for the accident, you will have to pay only up to the limit agreed in the contract signed when you became a user.
This risk is very small, thanks to the continuous maintenance carried out on the cars. But of course, in the case of a breakdown our users have the right to use all the emergency services (tow truck, repairs, etc.) that they need at that time. There are no additional costs faced with a situation of this type. However, we recommend our users call the customer office if this situation arises, to ensure adequate support and assistance.

3. Savings

With a private car, its owners have a series of fixed costs (purchase of the vehicle, circulation and registration taxes, insurance, parking, etc.) and variable costs (maintenance, repairs, ITV and fuel). By comparison if you travel less than 15,000 km/year, Car Sharing represents a saving of up to 2,500 euros per year.
Car Sharing can help to optimise the management of a fleet of cars for a company and public administrations. This allows better management of needs at less cost. Normally, company cars are not used at night and on weekends, however, they continue to generate expenses for the organisation. Ibilkari allows other people to use these cars at times of low demand and thus help reduce costs. This also leads to a reduction in company expenses in relation to the leasing of fleet cars and car parks,. The cost of car parking is a significant issue for companies based in central areas.
